FAQ
Garage door questions, answered straight
The questions our dispatchers and technicians hear most, answered the way we'd answer on the phone.
How quickly can you come out?
Dispatch runs 6am–10pm with about a 30-minute average response across the Phoenix Valley. Same-day is the standard, not the exception — and outer communities get honest arrival windows on scheduled routes.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes — every visit starts with a free full inspection and a written upfront price. You approve it before any work begins, and there's no charge for us coming out.
My door won't open at all. What's the most likely cause?
A broken torsion spring — the most common failure in Arizona. The opener isn't built to lift the door's dead weight alone, so it strains and stops. Leave the door closed and call.
My door won't close and the opener light is blinking.
That's the photo-eye safety sensors: blocked, dusty or knocked out of alignment. Check for an obstruction first; if it persists we clean, realign or rewire them in one short visit.
Why is my door so loud?
Grinding usually means worn steel rollers; squealing is dry hinges and springs; rattling is loose hardware or a chain-drive opener due for retirement. A tune-up quiets all three and catches what's wearing.
Should the door lift by hand?
Yes — with the opener release pulled, a balanced door lifts smoothly with one hand and stays put half-open. If it's heavy or slams, the springs need attention regardless of anything else.
Do you work evenings, Sundays and holidays?
Yes — we're open 6am to 10pm every day except Saturday, holidays included, and the price is quoted upfront whatever the hour.
What brands do you service?
All major garage door and opener brands — doors and openers are standardized enough that our stocked parts cover the overwhelming majority of repairs on the first visit.
Do you handle commercial doors?
Yes — light-commercial roll-ups and sectional bay doors, with priority for doors blocking business operations.
How long does a new door installation take?
Most standard installations are measured at the free estimate, scheduled within days, and completed in a single day including haul-away of the old door.
How often should I service my door?
Annually — ideally in late spring before peak heat. Arizona's summer is what breaks doors; the tune-up is what breaks the summer.
Which areas do you serve?
The entire Phoenix Valley plus corridor communities from Wickenburg to Gold Canyon — the full list is on our service areas page.
